The Vigilante Extreme Ziprider® is sure to make your Branson, MO, vacation memorable! Simply take your seat, remove any loose objects, sit back, and experience the Vigilante. From the highest point in Missouri to your landing point, 1/2 mile away, you’ll see the Ozarks from a breathtaking sky-high view.

Coasting along at speeds of up to 50 mph, it is an experience that your family is sure to remember for years to come.

The Branson attraction is extreme, but it’s easy and safe, and fun for all ages! There are no controls for you to worry about, we include an automatic braking system, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

About the Experience: 

Here is what to expect on ride day:

  • Purchase your ticket online or at the base of Inspiration Tower
  • Hop on the glass elevator up to the enclosed observation deck and enjoy the views while you wait
  • When it is your turn, walk down a short staircase to the open-air launch deck
  • Ride attendants will go over the instructions, make sure you are comfortably seated, and get you safely buckled in. Then the countdown for launch begins!.
  • Then you are off! Enjoy every second of the half-mile ride across the historic Shepherd of the Hills homestead

Want a video of your ride? We have cameras available to capture your ride! Just scan a QR code when finished and for a fee your video is downloaded to your email. • A jeep-drawn tram picks you up at the landing pad and brings you back to Inspiration Tower. It is really two rides in one!

*Due to the high demand of this ride, we have implemented a reservation based system to try to minimize the wait time of our guests. These wait times are approximate and are not by any means the guaranteed time of the ride. The ride times are impacted by weather and safety measures.  Due to the nature of this “extreme“ ride, safety is our utmost concern, and decisions must be made at various times, throughout the day as conditions change, which may impact your ability to ride.*

Attraction Rules

  • Children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult 17 or older.  
  • Must be able to understand and demonstrate knowledge of all safety rules to experience the attraction. 
  • Participating while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.
  • Riders must be between 75lbs and 275lbs. 
  • Riders must be between 52” and 80” in height. 
  • Must safely fit in the harness.
  • Ensure that shoes are secure. No flip-flops or open heel shoes. Make sure shoelaces are tied.
  • Operators are not responsible for lost or misplaced personal items.
  • No gum, food or drinks allowed on attraction. 
  • Follow all operator instructions, posted rule signs and stickers.
  • Since this is an adventure sport activity, we do not recommend those to ride with high blood pressure, heart, back, or neck problems, motion sickness, recent surgery, medical sensitivity to quick stopping motions, extreme fear of heights, epilepsy, history of panic attacks or other conditions which could be aggravated by this adventure. 
  • Expectant mothers should not ride. 
  • Shepherd of the Hills reserves the right to remove visitors on the park who wear clothing that could create a distraction. Inappropriate or Offensive clothing includes: Clothing displaying offensive messages/language, clothing made with offensive material, (ie transparent), clothing that is excessively torn,  clothing which exposes inappropriate portions of the body such as string bikini tops, bikini bottoms, etc. All guests are required to wear shirts and shoes at all times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! The Vigilante was built so anyone can enjoy it. There is no harness to fit, no experience needed, and no controls to manage. Ride attendants walk every group through the safety instructions before each launch, and the automatic braking system handles the stop at the bottom. All you have to do is sit back and fly.

Riders reach speeds of up to 55 mph on the descent from Inspiration Tower. The automatic braking system gradually slows the ride as you approach the landing pad for a smooth stop.

Yes! Four riders launch side by side, so families and groups can experience the Vigilante at the same time. Riders must be at least 52 inches tall and weigh between 75 and 275 lbs. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

No special fitness level is required. Because this is an adventure sport activity, we do not recommend the ride for guests with high blood pressure, heart, back, or neck conditions, motion sickness, extreme fear of heights, epilepsy, a history of panic attacks, or recent surgery. Expectant mothers should not ride.

The zipline is just over half a mile long and takes about 60 to 90 seconds from launch to landing. From check-in through the tram ride back, plan for about 20 to 30 minutes total.

Wear closed-toe shoes with a secure heel. No flip-flops or open-heel shoes, and make sure shoelaces are tied. Leave loose objects behind. All guests must wear a shirt and shoes at all times.

Reservations are highly recommended, especially during summer and fall weekends. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability, but booking ahead guarantees your spot. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours in advance.

Yes! Your Vigilante ticket includes access to Inspiration Tower at no additional charge. At 230 feet tall, the tower offers 360-degree views of the Ozarks. On a clear day you can see up to 90 miles. It is a great way to take in the scenery before and after your ride.
